how we remodeled this home

We updated every room with new flooring, paint, cabinetry, countertops, fixtures, and finishes while keeping the home's existing layout intact. The result is a complete visual transformation that feels like an entirely new home.

Week 1

Demolition + Prep

We removed existing cabinets, flooring, and bathroom fixtures carefully, protecting the rest of the home. The space was cleared and ready for what came next.

Week 2

Scope Adjustment + Resequencing

The project expanded to include both showers. A flooring material error by the subcontractor required reordering, creating a three-week wait. Cabinet ordering was paused until flooring was complete and delivery space was available.

Week 3–4

Plumbing + Electrical

Plumbing fixtures arrived and shower floor removal began for plumbing reconfiguration. Electrical was relocated and all plumbing connections were completed and inspected.

Week 7–9

Cabinets Selected + Ordered

Original cabinet selection became unavailable. A new selection process took one week. Cabinets were ordered with a four-week lead time. Baseboard and casing were installed throughout.

Week 10–11

Cabinets + Countertops

Cabinets were installed on schedule. Countertops followed, completing the kitchen. Final finishes were completed and the project moved into walkthrough.

what we learned

Every project teaches us something. Here's what this one reinforced about how we run jobs and serve our clients better.

  • Complete each phase fully before beginning the next — overlapping stages like paint and rough work creates rework and adds time.
  • Order all materials on day one. Delays outside your control are unavoidable; delays from late ordering are not.
  • Lock in the full project scope before scheduling begins. Mid-project changes to layout or fixtures move electrical, shift timelines, and affect every trade that follows.
